Mural painting in Bohuslän

I received a request from Munkedal's housing/Munkbo to decorate their garages in a residential area that they are refurbishing. These garages are located opposite a preschool and in an area where many families with young children live. The walls had just been repainted in a warm, medium gray colour, but they thought it looked a bit empty and wondered if I could paint a seal and a honeysuckle (Bohuslän's landscape animal and flower). Of course I wanted to! All said and done, I took the car to Munkedal and started sketching the motifs.

Sketched the motifs with charcoal which can be easily wiped away afterwards.

Painted with Caparol's plaster paint - Thermosan (the same product that the background was painted with).

Final touches.

This is how he turned out!

Then it was time for the second garage line. On this Munkebo wished for a winding honeysuckle.

Started sketching with charcoal here as well.

Painted the stem and leaves first.

Then it was time for the flowers.

And this is how the honeysuckle turned out!

Thank you Munkebo for a very fun assignment! And all the lovely adults and children who dropped by and kept me company in the meantime :)
